We’ve sold some kayaks!

It’s been a quiet month due to work and restrictions, we realise that we didn’t update you all on selling a large portion of our kayak fleet. With this year seeing a massive rise and interest in kayaking the second hand market went through the roof, given some of our kayaks are 20+ years old we took full advantage of the COVID sellers market.

We sold nine kayaks, some will be missed others won’t, we still however have some available to those that are interested? The prices are coming down and we’d be happy to let attendees of our events have them at a good price so that we can restock for next season. Please get in touch!

COvid and needing your help

Throughout November and December we have been getting alot of information through about how to continue with events in the current climate, at present we are not paying close attention to this as we are out of season. In the first quarter of 2021 we will start assessing and working out how best to approach are summer events. This however may not be achievable without additional help and new volunteers, we are on the lookout for some coaches to attend our events, a covid officer and welfare officer. We’d also really like to get a content creator on board to help push along our socials, weekend photography and maybe if we’re lucky get some video and drone footage.

As with all volunteering roles it’s a big commitment to give your time for free, we fully recognise that being in the same position. We do however try to give something for your time, weekend events are free to volunteers, we’ll use all our social platforms to promote any businesses personal or professional and will run private weekend where all volunteers get to have fun without the chaos of looking after people. We also allow people to make use of our marquees for garden events when needed, though they do need to be looked after and returned in one piece.

kew t-shirts

Don’t forget we’ve got plenty of t-shirts available, if you order soon we’ll get them to you in time for a christmas!

We were hoping that these would sell quicker than they have, they’ve got a great design, they’re very comfortable, 100% cotton and vegan friendly. We know T-shirts aren’t the best garment for winter but we couldn’t fund hoodies at this stage being a not for profit group. Zach even did his best to model them, we couldn’t find a better looking model to work for a free t-shirt.
